I'm loving Mamaphonic already!

Just discovered the site yesterday - I think I got the link from someone on the anarchist parenting listserv. I've been reading and reading, and I'm so enjoying it!

I'm 37, a massage therapist, health food store clerk, sex worker, writer, and radical. I'm also a non-custodial mom to two amazing sons, 15 years old and seven years old. I live in central Oklahoma in a communal house with a few folks from my collective. The kids live in central Washington with their father, step-mother, and step-siblings.

I'm gearing up for NaNoWriMo, having taken last year off.

Hello! Nice to meet you.

I did NaNoWriMo last year, and actually completed (I was stunned.) Except that I didn't actually complete the book ... This year I can't decide whether to tackle a new idea I have or get off my butt and finish the novel I already have. Decisions, decisions. But looking at the calendar, I'd better make a decision quickly!

If I do NaNo, want to have a thread in which we share the good and the bad? I do sometimes go to the official NaNo forums, but they're kind of a time suck, so I'm reluctant to get heavily involved.

nice to meet you, too!

i think starting a thread here would be awesome...i agree about the nano forums being a time suck. i like to search the archives there for information, but beyond that i try to avoid them!

i did nano in '03 and '04, and finished both times, and then trashed the horrific novels. LOL this year i'm determined not to trash it, no matter how bad i think it is. one of my housemates is writing this year, too - his first time - and we've agreed to try to prevent each other from deleting our novels unread.
