well, hey there ... it's Kara ... you know, Kara ... of Wrinkle ... no? okay, well ... um, yeah, I guess everyone would have forgotten about me by now seeing as how it has been so long since I was around these parts that even *I* can't remember me!

Last time around (two years ago maybe?) I was struggling with secondary infertility and now I sit here typing to you with an 8 month old baby boy in my lap. Miracle.

Another miracle has been happening lately ... my husband has been working 65 hour work weeks, and nope that ain't pretty, but combine his late hours with a baby who (mostly, finally) sleeps through the night and you've got a woman who waits up at night for her spouse and suddenly has a few hours alone to herself. Rather than catch up on my bathing or finish painting the bedroom, I've been writing.

It's nice.

And then I remembered this marvelous and supportive community and I decided to come check it out again this evening.

That has been nice, too.

I see a few familiar faces and more I'm looking forward to getting to know. Some of you I recognize from reading your zines or your weblogs. Hey there! It is good to be back.
