chat not working?

Maybe this is a boon to employers everywhere, but neither China nor I can use "Chat." I type in things and they don't appear on the screen even though it says I am logged in and IN the chatbox.

Anyone else have this problem?

Is this the first time anyone has tried it since the upgrade? I wonder if the upgrade broke the old chat function...
