I found this site off hipmama and am so glad I did. Writing has become a huge outlet for me since my son was born. I don't have the time to paint so all my energy is expressed through pen and paper instead. So big Hello to everyone...

I've never painted (except walls in my house), but I do photography. As baby gets older and you get more used to the demands of motherhood, you may be able to carve out times to paint. Or you'll start figuring out ways to incorporate baby into your painting time/space.

The Mamaphonic anthology has a great essay by Hather the Cow Goddess (I forget what her real name is) about how she took her first kid to art school with her and found ways to work her into her studio time. (You can probably get it or have it ordered and sent to your local library)

Anyhow, welcome aboard!

Sometimes paper is the only thing that will listen to you.
