cookin' mama and more

i do lots of cookin' stuff, cakes for parties..last one was 2 black 7 white cop cars for my oldest step-son's graduation from police academy. and i actually did a very Suzy Homemaker thing this year -- i enetered the pillsbury bake-off contest! for reals!
i pput myself as writer mama cause it's my #1 love, but i do so many things, just like most all other mamas

So many incarnations of the mama

I do none of these things professionally anymore. I've done *very* little theatre, lots of art, some music, and used to write a lot/just starting to get back into it.

I am parenting a very silly kid, so we sing, dance performa nd create all the time. We have done performances at such acclaimed venues such as the local grocery store, the library (children's room, far from people trying ot read, study, or enjoy the quiet), and just about anywhere the mood strikes us.

can't do 2?

I put myself down as Writing Mama since I started as a writer and primarily do writing and only recently have been doing more with my photography and actually looking for places to submit my photos.

BUT--I am now also identifying myself as a photographer mama, which would probably go under Art Mama.

Should I vote again? Will this skew your results? Or should I just announce publicly here that I, PhoenixRising, identify as both a writing mama and an art mama?

I'm not keeping stats or anything, I just thought it might be an interesting poll to see roughly who was up to what. If you want to (and can figure out how!) vote twice, go for it! Or not. :)

You *can* vote again, by the way. So I did. Now I have officially id'd myself as art mama and writing mama (whose fingers are hurting from too much typing now:( )

Yeah, how's this for a shock,

Yeah, how's this for a shock, I do something else, I'm in the "library & information science arts." Bwah! That said, I do have weird little creative streaks here & there. I have done calligraphy professionally in the past (don't anymore), I have played guitar & sung mostly for fun (do when I have the opportunity which is far & few between with wee ones & so much homework) and last summer I started teaching myself banjo... will probably go back to that after library school is graduated from because it's an awesome brash little instrument.

Theatre, plus none of the above....

I make my living from theatre design and, recently, also from my photography. Didn't see photography listed there...guess it would be an art, but then so would theatre design.
Also am involved in music and writing but only on the rare occasion has anyone wanted to pay me for either ;)

What, library and information

What, library and information science arts wasn't one of the choices? :)
I had always considered myself more of an artist, painter, maker of creative things, still not sure why I didn't go to art school but I didn't so anyway...
Started acting publicly at age 4, did tons of stuff up until age 20. After a ten year hiatus went back to acting last year in a really great presentation of the Laramie Project and just got cast in another local play...
Love to sing, was always in choirs, would like to sing with a band now...
Started my own zine in June, am doing other writing projects also...
is there an "all of the above" choice?
