you're organizing a zine fest by yourself?! Yet another amazing MSP project, huh? go Trula go! best of luck, I bet it will be amazing. That's the whole DIY ethic in action-- don't mourn a lack in your town, go out and do it yourself!

So I have to change the

So I have to change the dates for the zine fest all last minute. One of my best friends has to be induced on the 13th (the first date change) and I'd promised her I'd be there for the birth and all.I am very excited for her. I'm also a little scared, I tend to flashback on my own births, plus this baby will be a preemie. I flaked out on her last year when she had her first baby so I have to be supportive this time around. I don't think she'd forgive me a second time!

The Cleveland Zine Fest is August 28th & 29th 2005. Hosted at Center Art in Cleveland Heights, this celebration of zines includes presentations on zine-making, independent publishing, creating DIY projects, and more. I put this out there and have already been contacted by 5 Cleveland zinesters I didn't know before who want to help out and are excited about this, and 3 zinesters from out of town! Yay! We probably won't really get rolling until after the holidays but this is so exciting, already.

thanks for the offer! yeah, when you have a kiddo in special ed, the schedule is a lot less flexible (but of course that's for the best, in the end). maybe i can sneak away by myself though, like i did for mpls this year. we'll see. :)
