Big Debut

I think I registered here and introduced myself before, but I lost the password, so here I am again. Tenderfoot, I recognize you from elsewhere. :) It's nice to see you here, you don't post on LJ much (says she who hasn't updated her LJ for at least six months).

It looks pretty quiet round these parts, but I will try not to let that intimidate me. Am I wuss? Yes, yes I am.

I am also a writer-on-indefinite-hiatus who has been blogging up a storm in multiple places but can't quite seem to get the time and energy together needed to work on anything more than, say, 250 words. Hoping that this might kick-start me a bit.

welcome...

There's nothing wrong with short pieces. Susan Griffin wrote an essay in which she compared the act of writing as a mother to that of a resistance fighter--brief illuminations between everything else in life.

And there's always a market for flash fiction.

Don't be intimidated by us. We're a pretty non-threatening bunch.

I would absolutely agree--if

I would absolutely agree--if I were capable of writing short pieces. Instead, my brain churns out novel ideas, but I only have time for haiku.

Thanks for the welcome. :)
