I'm here

Here I am, posting to your wonderful writing board. I've snooped around and I've decided I want to stay if you'll have me. I'm very nice, housebroken, and I make kick-ass soups. I knit. I have three children--girls--who were all born at home. My husband is a good man. I have a guest column for a large newspaper but sometimes I think I am fooling myself with all this writing nonsense. Know me yet? Well, it's a start...

welcome!

Just read your (not quite!) 300 words and although it's a non-comment forum, just wanted to say I'm looking forward to reading more. You said a lot in those few eloquent sentences.

I used to be here every day, and am just now trying to get back into the swing.

Glad you want to stay.

We all have those moments of doubt. Don't worry--they pass. If they don't, chase them out.

Write On!

Welcome and congrats on your official writer status! It is so impressive to have a column. I am a knitter too. Just found some Italian washable wool yarn which automatically changes hue and creates stripes. It's wonderful! Do you read stitch and bitch? I love those books! Any time you want to exchange patterns let me know.

Hey, thanks. Do you cloth diaper and/or like wool diaper covers? I knit a lot of those and am writing a pattern for one right now. It's pretty addicting because it's a project you can finish in a short amount of time and yet they are so useful!
