I've been musing about color (or the lack thereof) among (American) performance artists and musicians especially who are also mothers. And I realize that aside from the couple of incredible women artists I know personally, I'm ashamed
to say I can't name any!

Is there an actual lack of visibility or is it just my own ignorance about general American culture?

The only mother artist I can think of right off the top of my head is an old friend who goes by the name of infiniTee da
Quadroon. (unfortunately, she doesn't have a website or a CD but if you google her, you'll get an idea as to what she does and what her work is like)

Anyone know of any others worth checking out?f◊
