Introductions make me feel like I'm trying to write an artists statement. My artist statement is so uncool - I like art, it makes me feel good. Making stuff is fun, maybe it's good maybe it's bad, but it is always fun.
I stumbled across your sight it's so nice to see a group of women that support one another. I hope I will be a part of a good thing.
I am the mama of 1 preschooler and 1 toddler. That says so little.

Hi...I'm just new to this site and I'd like to introduce myself! :)
My names jojie, im from sweden and im 22 years old.
I'm currently on my first term at the International Academy of Film and Television (www.filmschool.ph) .
I initially took journalism in college but got frustrated with sitting in class doing exercises after exercises.
I wanted to create something tangible and substantial. One Google search led me to IAFT and the rest is history. Now im in the process of editing my own film.

Hi everyone! I'm a writing mom in Minneapolis. I'm working on a YA urban fantasy novel, and a bunch of essays about mom life, dying parents, super charged kids and the like. I'm generally afraid of queries, hate rejection, but have made a commitment to making a go at making a living writing (and teaching a little bit of yoga). I'm looking forward to finding/giving support here!

ah, who are you? that's a pretty serious question. i am a city girl turned farmer stuck inside a small shack in upstate new york for a long winter with 3 small children. i live in/am reviving an intentional community which is in disrepair (and,incidentally, actively recruiting writers and radicals with a strong work ethic to live here part or full-time). i have a bunch of books in me and need a kick in the ass to get them out, so that is my goal in joining this group.

THE DAY WAS LARGE
Month two of our new lives. The apartment is unbelievable, best I have ever lived in. It is brand new, which has a lot to do with the loving of it I'm sure. Every other dwelling I have resided at has been very very very lived in. Very.

One of my daughters is singing along to her game-cube game Bratz Rock Angels. It's the 17th time I've gotten to hear the background music. These are really the lyrics -'Oh Yeah! Blah blah blah, I can't hear you' Teaching respect I guess. Lying on the super lush brand new carpet (love new stuff smell) in front the computer, she calls me to come look-over at what she has created. It is a printout. Something with a huge head, more makeup than Miss Piggy (one of my heroes) and stick legs running around the screen in HUGE platform sandals. This Bratz is looking for Chloe Bratz because "they" have a magazine deadline. (?) "I made it for you Mom" 'Oh, thank you! It is awesome." (I subscribe to the credo - 'take any gift a child offers you' followed closely by ' make sure the egg syrup and carrot burrito is in the bin for pick up Thursday am. hopefully before she realizes I'm not saving it for a special special day.) My youngest daughter is 8. She likes video games and get to play them on the weekends She could be playing 'Godzilla destroy all monsters Malay.' But she isn't, she plays Bratz. The Brazt are un violent, just tragically hip, (boring).

Hi there...
I was digging around the inter-web this fine Saturday morning, and typed in an old site name, from a time far back, and then i found my way Here. I am a mama of three, living in western WA... For now, as we have plans to move back east, I think within about two years-ish.
Our kids are 7.5 -Gaeb, 5 -Zeke and 3 -Ruby. I am married over eight years. Some day, when I grew up, or re-surfaced after motherhood took over, well I planned to be a writer and even if tis just for me, for now, well maybe being Here could help / work / feed me.

I found this site off hipmama and am so glad I did. Writing has become a huge outlet for me since my son was born. I don't have the time to paint so all my energy is expressed through pen and paper instead. So big Hello to everyone...

God, it's good to be back here! And is mamaphonic pumpin' these days, or what? I was here when she first started, way back when, then I lapsed into some kind of coma and forgot how important it is to be in a creative environment amongst inspiring people. Then there was the day my laptop crashed and took with it three years of my written and photographic work, which was, you know, not backed up and all...

I am a client of the WL Writers Agency and I felt I had to put in my
reply.

You know, I read all this and all I can say is that the WL Literary
Agency
has treated me fairly. They have NOT led me on with false promises.
They
told me how hard it is. They didn't make me use any of their companies
to
get my work edited, they just said that I had to get it edited and
improved.
I think that makes sense. And my work really needed it, whew!

i wanted to introduce myself to folks. i'm connie, i live in grand junction, colorado. i'm 27 yrs old, just graduated college i n '06. i've been involved in activism for about 6 years and zine writing for about three. over the past 2 years or so i've been delving into anarchist theory scholastically and thru zines and friends etc.

as soon as i found out i was pregnant (i was on vacation in europe) i got home and picked up the mamaphiles. i have an extensive zine collection and until now didn't read any of the mamaphiles. i am co-founder/co-editor/writer for The Red Pill (we've yet to have website after three years, but you can find it at: www.myspace.com/gjam_theredpill, contact: gjredpill@hotmail.com. we can also be found at zinewiki, gnn.org, infoshop). While it's not a mama focused zine (more alternative media, history, news, poetry, etc.) you can bet your booty there will be more mama/baby submissions in the future as one of our other submitters is pregnant as well.

difficulty in logging in to mamaphonic

At home, I can't post, but at my work computer I can. When I found out Nicole/ Hausfrau editor could log in and post either, I emailed Susan. She said they hadn't heard from others who had this problem yet, but sometimes people don't speak up. It seems to be a systems operating problem (?) (my computer at home is on old windows) and they will look into it. Nicole still can't log in and post - so I just wanted to start a thread for this problem.
